    300 with miss at start?

Hey guys...anyone have this issue? My ski runs on less than 4 cylinders after a hard ride and idle into the beach..I am bliping the throttle prior to shut down but when I fire back up it misses for about 5 seconds and then clears up...Pulled the plugs and #4 looks funny maybe moisture has been on the plug...did a sparky change after riding all day Sat and Sun but on labor day I still have the same issue? I currently have 30hrs. on the beast and it just over a month old...you may remember my ski as the one that required a new wiring harness to cure a main fuse blowing problem. Is the exhaust filter a likey suspect?...no i did not run compression check yet.

Thanks for any ideas...you know the dealer won't be able to figure this one out too easy!

That's exactly what mine did when the exhaust filter broke. It's easy to notice too. With the filter it starts easy and runs perfect every time, so a change like this, all of a sudden, would be the filter 100% (check that, and if it's not that change the plugs, but my money is on the filter too)

Oh my god, just reading it now. Hahahaha.

He has no mates, so he doesn't stop anywhere to have coffee/lunch on the water, so he never notices the "wet" starts. He probably just rides around trying to race every poor sod, then goes home

Thanks everyone for confirming the exhaust filter needs inspection!

update...dealer removed ex filter and it has moved into my water box....i mean nothing was left of it....totally gone...no wonder my ski was faster than my buds new 300! dealer states they will check compression and do a leak down to see if further damaged occured..I hope not! probably put 10hrs. on it when it after it started acting wierd.

Front part of WB or rear ? Rest of the ski should be fine.

Yep, not likely to have done anything else. Your dealer might want to do the compression/leak-down in case some corrosion has started, but only 10 hours I doubt it. I guess he is being thorough.

If you rode for 10 hours I wonder if he'll find the exhaust element

    Cheers, Mal.
