Wiring Harness Connectors
Is there a special tool for disconnecting the connectors on the wiring harness on the Waverunners? I am speaking of the ones that have three little catches that keeps the connectors from coming apart not the ones with the single release tab. I know I could always use a small flat tip but I am afraid I will ruin the connector.
Any help would be appreciated.

Those are aggravating i think they design them that way because of the waterproof rubber insert that falls out when you disconnect the plug then you have to get a flashlight to find it. i may be talking about a different plug but i use the angle pointed tool to release the clips. the correct name slips my mind but looks like a pointed screwdriver and are very sharp will stick you like a pin. maybe owl or something like that.
