    drain plugs

Just bought a sea do 215 rxt (2007). I have 3 inches of water in the engine hull. I removed both drain plugs but water does not drain. What gives?

    drain plugs

There are plastic check balls inline with the plugs, they are probably stuck and or clogged up, but I guess the previous poster couldn't have told you that!

yes check valves maybe clogged also check the rubber o-rings for cracks, when the plugs are installed they push the check valves open if o-rings are bad water leaks in. ask me how i know

Check balls get stuck when you put the ski in the water without the drain plugs in

thanks, can I just push a screw driver into the plug opening, or is it something more complicated. The ski is on a lift in the water so if I need to get inside the engine hull i will need to put it on a trailer.

The ball is in a plastic cage behind the drain plug opening. Just stick in a screwdriver a little and you should get water flow.
