    new intake manifold

Here are some fresh photos of the prototype new Magnus intake. I will be testing it later this month and it does come with a fuel rail not in my photos

Looks cool, just a thought, would having the intake runners being larger at the manifold end and tapering down to the intake flange on the head gain you a velocity gain affect? You seem to have lots of room on the manfold to do that. May not be easy but just a thought.

Nice craftsmanship...I am interested in the flow of it..as in the past we have seen similiar mannys lean out on certain cylinders....Be careful till you test it..it might be a good idea to run EGT probes on each cylinder that way you can tell if your having a lean out condition....

The oem length runners should keep all cylinders even and give an even throttle control but is there any point to the bell mouths? Especially considering if you have the need for an ally manifold you must be throwing some boost at it.

I would assume they are using them as velocity stacks to help move the air into each cylinder...nice looking mani!

Yeah sure that's what velocity stacks are for, mostly benefit NA setups. My question was is there any point to them/ are they going to do anything if your running say 20+ psi?

What about the time when you don’t have much boost 2-5000?
The key for max performance is ALL the little stuff
and it’s not like they can hurt any performance
Now the reason I am posting pixs of a prototype is for your feedback
like this... do we need the oem ss inserts on the flange?
they are nice but do we need them? To keep cost down IMO we don’t need them
Marco from Magnus wants to build the best intake for us
The design he uses was dynoed and tweaked on many 4 cyl cars
He has seen the riva intake and believes his can outperform it

That is setting the bar pretty high. I hope he has a riva/wilson manifold to test back to back with this one.
