What do you think? MODS please look at...

So being a guy that has been on a lot of forums I ask myself why in the "Yamaha sticky" there is not a "New FZ owners please read this before posting" I mean unless as a new owner you search for "cracked pump tunnel" or "thrown of jet ski" or you happen to be on here the day the thread is on top how would you know this is a major concern? And most people won't search until they are a victim of it

There are even forums that force people to read a specific thread before making their first post in a section.

    Just a thought

I sorta agree. You sometimes people come on here and don't necessarily know everything off the bat and it will be hard to use the search function because they don't know what they're looking for in the first place, so that's why I don't really bash on repost. Sometimes it just makes the forum fun when there is nothing really to talk about.

When ppl come to this forum a lot of members give their welcomes and normally the user post that he got a new Jet ski specific make and model, i've seen ppl like YOMAMA or something like that give his advice, that including a lot of members always give their advices. Now people like me get really frustrated when the forum Does not let me post just because i need to have certain amount of post like come on i just need some help. i think the forum is well organized.

My "issue" with that thread is is is 47 pages long and the title does not attract newbies (I dont think?) To me a simple please read thread that simplfied the issues (a single post thread that would encourange people to use the search function to learn more about the issues) would be nice.

This is a great example in the Sea-Doo section:

They will get advise from ppl when welcome. issues are not only in this forum, issues are all over the internet. I knew the problems my ski came with before buying it. I agree they should make a sticky on this problems but o well i am not a moderator.

Change your settings to more posts per page and it will be a lot shorter.

There is so much information already here on this forum. Basically, almost every question asked has already been asked with a few exceptions percentage-wise. Just like in school, it takes some work to learn...

Ya I agree but why not put the major safety things that people dont know to search for somewhere they will be seen. Really to me for the FZ the pump cracking and intake grate issues should be very obvious to anyone that comes here that has just bought a new ski or is in the market for one.

Looking around this forum all the other sections have it except the Yamaha 4 stroke one really?
