FZR How to flush with engine cooling kit & riva intercooling upgrade kit

    http://www.rivaracing.com/instructio...040_ecuk_i.pdf

This is what i have engine cooling kit with intercooler upgrade kit from riva.
i only have the stock flush on the jetski, but thats for engine only now. In the pdf above last page (6) there is a diagram shows the connections, the stock engine flush does not go to the cooling oil. And i dont know how to flush intercooling. Please help i dont know if i should add a flush to the intercooling line and flush with engine off and then flush engine with the stock flush thank you in advance.

Riva sells a flush fitting you can install to get water to your intercooler & oil cooler while flushing. It comes included with their intercooler kits, but I guess they don't give you one with their cooling kit for the stock cooler. You'll need both the female end(see first pic) to install into the ski & the male end for the hose. I put a red arrow on the diagram where I think the best place for it would be. It should be easy to reach & give you good pressure to flush both the IC & oil cooler in this location. You'll just need to cut the hose & install a 3/8x3/8x3/8 tee fitting for the flush hose. The last pic shows the setup I made for my SHO to flush the whole cooling system at once.

some more pics ,, plus on the y peace you have to run a tap on the sc/ oil line side to slow the water feed down so you get enough pressure on the engine side other wise the exhaust get to hot ,hope this helps

I just flush i/c oil cooler with engine off, switch to normal flush and run motor until t-stat opens for a min or two. I like the y fitting with the salt away dispenser, i might do that. Its not rocket science!
