    I HAVE to buyt a new TV....suggestions?

Well, my girlfriends mom wants to buy my older Mitsubishi 55" HDTV monitor for her husbands birthday. That leaves me with the "unfortunate" task of buying a new one.

I have been looking at getting a DLP in the 50+" range. I was wondering if any of you have purchased a new one lately and what your thoughts are. I think I am either going to go Samsung or Mitsubishi.

Also, if you have had favorable or unfavorable experiences with a certain place that would be helpful also.

wow...impressive even on film. I want something will also look decent on SDTV. I know it will not look perfect but since most of Direct TV is still standard definition I will be watching it.

Stick with Mitsubishi on the DLP. They are sealed the tightest and have a beautiful picture.

You get what you pay for.

SDTV is good also, aspect when watching a DVD is proper...its VERY clear, VERY bright....We had the option to go with the 61" instead, but it looked to grainy for the distance we were gonna be sitting at...

Plus we got ours at Best buy, the week after the super bowl, on sale, price matched to another store BEFORE the super bowl...for $2100 TOTAL...toss it on a BB charge, 3 years no interest/payments, its 2/3rd paid for right now...after tax return, its done...

Go to Cnet.com. They are the one and only source for electronics reviews and analysis. Personally, I'm looking at the Sony XBRD, or whatever it's called.
