what color restrictor washer for oem intercooler ?

hi all, friend is adding an stock oem intercooler to a GTX SC 185.
the 185 never had an intercooler.
so when re plumbs in the IC from teh main water line leading to the exhaust manifold,
what color washer should he have in the pump shoe where the pump bolts up.
its going to have a X SC with all the requisite fueling parts.
we are just doing a stock internal intercooler as it was easy to find the parts and its only got cast pistons, keeping stock rpm limit of 7650.
trying to not go too crazy on the stock engine, external intercooler would have been excuse to go big on rpm etc etc etc, more money more money more money!!!

IMO use what is in it
not worth the job to change it
and try to find a used 215 ecu for a real speed increase

    Are the 185 pumps different?
If not, loosen the 4 17mm (or 19mm, I can't remember ) bolts, slip out restrictor washer, replace with chosen restrictor, retighten 4 bolts.

Here you go: part # 12 on propulsion page, http://www.shspowersports.com/fiche_...gSubmit=Search

    see bottom of page

Watercraft, Seadoo, Year, model Ski, propulsion, part#12

    Gtx 185 = Red, 215 = yellow, X model = green

There is a old thread which says what size it should be, then simply drill out the washer.

BTW, shspowersports discounts their pricing 15%, shows part numbers, and offers free shipping several times a year, I use them for all OEM parts.

so i found out that a yellow washer, that is for the oem 215 setup with internal IC, is 5/16 or 8mm.
    the red washer is smaller,
so if we are adding an oem internal IC to a 185 ski we should drill out the washer to 5/16...
or buy a yellow washer from above link.

Hi. I am lex's freind doing all this stuff to my 185. Just put in IC.

What does this restrictor washer do? Let's water into the tube that goes to the front of the intake...Now into the IC..Then back out to exhaust? It seems like I am drilling it out to 5/16 so more water gets in there?
