    GPR 1200 Waterbox

I know that it brings RPMs up a bit when used with a Freeflow and that it is louder than the 1300 box.

What I'd like to know is does it negate the acceleration/holeshot improvements of the FF with the increased back pressure? I gained 2-3 ski lengths out of the hole with the Freeflow on my stock 1300.

No, as in it doesn't decrease acceleration? Interesting.

So the FF doesn't create acceleration gains from the reduced back pressure? Would it then be from the reduced distance that the water has to travel from the waterbox to the exhaust exit?

The 1300 water box has a chamber on top for noise were the 1200 does not it flows out better that's why it's much loader than a 1300 water box. There is more back pressure on a 1300 water box than a 1200, You have your statement wrong the 1200 does not have more back pressure than the 1300. That's why it's used a lot on 1390 motors to release more back pressure because the 1390 does not need a lot of back pressure.

    Jim,

Thanks for clearing that up. I was actually under the impression that the 1200 box brings back the back pressure that is lost when running a Freeflow, thus increasing the RPMs.

In any case, would you recommend the 1200 on a stock motor 1300 with freeflow and riva d-plate (not opened up) ?

While here, does the singer need to come out to swap the WB? I've never had to remove one before.

    Thanks.

Has anyone swapped out water boxes with the stinger still installed?
