engine flushing - open loop cooling - zebra mussells

So, Ive got a question.. how often do you flush your system for the open loop guys?

What are your thoughts about invasive species in the waters that you ride?
Down here in North Texas we are facing a Zebra Mussel infestation in some of our lakes, and we must drain out any water from our boats, before leaving the area, and let things dry out for 2 weeks before traveling to another lake..

do you think there is the potential to cause some issues with the cooling system on some of our skis?

How is anyone going to keep tabs on how long before you travel to another lake?

I dunno.. I guess they are relying on the good faith and trust of the local population..

I also know, I dont want to have a "mussell infestation" inside my cooling system..

Call me Typhoid Mary. I ride in a different lake and/or river every weekend and there is always a little bit of water in the bottom of the hull that goes home with me. I drain it out when I get home and leave the seats cracked for the week. If they can survive that then I am public offender #1

I flush for a couple minutes with Salt Away after each ride, I made this quick connect hose attached to the salt away dispenser to save time.
Not sure if Salt Away kilss mussels though
