ThreeBond 1211. A small amount will do it, no need to put on in excess. See this excellent thread, with pictures, by OsideBill sealing a Yamaha case to see how much to use. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=144536

Just curious, has anyone ever used dental floss to seal crankcase halves? That's what they use in airplane engines.

Wow, never heard of that one...interesting...and impressed. I would think that the surfacing on the cases must be absolutely flawless...and of course a leak down test afterwards. But then the true test would be if it would hold up after the many cycles of heating up and cooling down.

I'm too much of a worrier to actually try it, I would end up using the 1211.
