De-wiring XPL loom advice
I am turning a stock XPL into a Limited ish race boat and I'd like to remove all the unused wiring from the loom.
Is there any reason I can pull the pins out of the MPEM plugs for the items I don't need?
E.g. VTS wires, all clocks wiring, fuel sender wires, speedo sender wires etc
I have a Franco remapped MPEM if it makes any difference.
Thanks in advance.

Yank away. You should be able to run with about everything else removed but charging and ignition wiring. You have three large plugs on mpem.
Plug 1 controls all of the accessories. About 18 to 20 wires used here <REMOVE all>
Plug 2 you need to keep 2-1, 2-9, 2-24, 2-25, 2-26 charging system, 2-16, 2-17, 2-19 throttle position sensor if using it, 2-7, 2-8, 2-15 DESS 2-18, 2-20 buzzer, 2-21, 2-23 start stop switch, 2-2 ground.
Plug 3 keep 3-8, 3-23, RAVE solenoid, 3- 16, 17, 18, 19, 26, ignition, 3-4, 3-12, temp sensor used with buzzer, and 3-24 ground.
That should be what you can skimp by on. Dont hold me to this, been a while since I decommissioned a wiring harness.
After wires are removed make sure you plug the holes with correct pins to keep moisture out.

I'm not using the temp sender, buzzer, rave solenoid or TPS. So I can remove all these too?
