Superjet start/stop/lanyard on XPL?
I have. Franco remapped MPEM which allows any key to start the ski (I think as long as the connection is bridged it will start).
I'd like to use a Yamaha Superjet start/stop/lanyard housing and wire it into the MPEM plug, this would mean I could use a normal Yamaha lanyard.
Has anyone done this? Will it work?

It will work. Cant recall what the yamaha kill switch does when pulled. Open circuit or closed. I did this years ago. I had to keep the dess working on my ski. I just used the yami to start/stop.

Thanks, What do you mean you had to keep the DESS working, were you abel to replace the Sea-doo lanyard with the yammi one?

I first wired the the yamaha green start switch into the factory seadoo start/stop harness. Then kept the dess working like normal. This is the safest way.
Later on I was able to rewire and use the yamaha key. The down side was every time the ski would sit I needed to remove and reattach the dess key.
I dont remember the colors of what wires. But the green switch sent power to the starter relay and the red/key switch was wired to start/stop on seadoo.
And VERY important when you wire in the green switch to the starter relay snip the factory ones so the MPEM can not actavate the relay.
The factory seadoo has a single switch that doubles as a start/stop.

Overall the yamaha switch setup sucks when used in conjuction with Dess. You still have to reset the key after sitting.
But it works nice when your rocking MSD total loss and simple wiring.
