Thumbs up TECH TIP. Keeping your cam plugs in place!

Tech Tip: Remove your valve cover if your all four of your cam plugs appear to be in place then take a good sharp center punch and on the end of the cam shaft stake four punch marks ( at opposite locations ) on the end of each cam shaft next to the cam plug staking the cam shaft ( not the plug ) just to be sure the plugs stays put. Use this method only if the plugs have never came out from new. This is a ilttle extra insurance they stay in place. This can be done with the cams inplace. However if your cam plug has came out the best method is to thread the shaft and install the small block Chevy oil galley block oil plugs. This info can be found in other forum post. Tommy Jordan
