I believe the manual states a cruising range of about 50 miles for most skis. Not sure what is listed for yours in particular.

Really there is no way to predict. Depends on riding habits, machine condition, water condition, and what color the sky is.

You were probably out of gas. That's about how long I can run my SL 750

    Horsepower/12 = gallons per hour.

The manual shows those skis at 78 and 80 hp. So 6.6 gallons per hour. Mind you this is at WOT.

    The Pro 785 is 135 HP / 12 = 11.25 GPH....9.8 gallon tank means frequent refills!

Probably even more frequent than that, PWI Sept 1998 lists the Pro using 14.8 at wot! about 40 per tank, did you ever notice if your 97-98's are any different in fuel usage?
