2006 GTI SE or 2005 RXT

Hey guys I'm looking for a 3 seater seadoo and I really need some help deciding on which one. I had found two different machines and I'd like to list my thoughts and some facts and hope someone would chime in and give their opinion:

    2006 GTI SE
A+ - Clean; no major damages
Good solid stable machine (according to some reviews)
    Not very attractive looking
    Completely digital dashboard
    Asking $4500

    2005 RXT
A - Clean; no major damages
    Had the washer upgraded
    Much nicer finishes; more storage
    215HP very fast
    Semi digital dashboard
Seller will have dealer hookup diagnostics to show it's good condition.
Been googling around and 2005 RXT seem to have a lot of issues (mostly with super charger)
    Asking $5500

I know the GTI is a slow machine. I'm not really a speed demon but more of a cruiser but then again when it's pouring out I'd like to be able to boot it back to the cottage. Which handles chop better? Is the GTI's newly designed hull better then the 2005 RXT's?

Really tossed here any help greatly appreciated.

Which ever ski you pick make sure to ride it atleast 15-20 minutes to see if any issues POP up.
I would compression test both machines before purchasing.
I'd say the Gti if your not a speed demon.
It will also use less gas and it is 1 yr newer.
    Good luck in your purchase.

Thanks for the reply. What should the compressions ratio be for these machines? I really like the looks of the RXT but I know looks aren't everything

It is always nicer to have the extra horsepower. RXT is my answer. Yes it burns more gas and best performance is with premium fuel, but when I test drove each before I bought, the answer was clear, even if you aren't a speed demon.

Yah...saw the GTI and it just didn't do anything for me.

Gonna look at the RXT Monday

What should I be looking for in the machine?
