    I have a 2008 RXP-X 255 - bad cylinder for project

My RXP-X went out on my last month. Puzzled, I took it to my local boat shop/service to see what they could figure out.
Turns out I have one pitted cylinder (middle one) -- they said it ran too lean and burned. Anyway, not too sure what I am going to do with this PWC.

Might let it go to someone who has the "know-how" to maybe work on it and have a great machine!

It is in excellent cond (less one burned cylinder), had SC changed last year at 100 hrs. Currently has @ 113 hours on it now. It has trailer and cover.

Any suggestions or offers please contact me.

Did your mechanic say what caused the burned cylinder? Any mods on the ski?

Looks like the stock injectors in the first picture. Maybe just a clogged injector did it in. Ski sitting with the crap fuel we have nowadays can do that.

Considering it is the middle cylinder I would agree that its likely a bad injector. That is usually the coolest running cylinder.

No MODS on ski. Just all stock. Both mechs say it was too lean. May have been from dealer service last summer when I had the SC changed out at 100 hours as recommended. Cannot think of anything else.

...yeah could have been a bad injector! Damn wish I had an extended warranty.

If it were mine, I would replace the injectors, have the cylinders honed, install new rings, replace that one piston, and throw a new set of bearings in it. Sucks that it happened though.

I have 3 stock 2008 RXT-X injetors that I would sell for $105 FIRM, shipped with paypal fees. They have 44 hours on them
