    Bad fuel???

    2001 GTX.
Taken out every other weekend all summer. Not a single problem. Not so much as a hiccup (top end rebuild in the spring that included rebuilt carbs)

Took her her today for the first time since 4th of July (basically 3 months of sitting) Rode like CRAP!!!

I left same fuel in the tank since July 4th and like an idiot, I didn't add any fuel treatment to prevent gas from breaking down.

Se crank just fine but would only go about 25-30 mph with w.o.t. Would occasionally cut off when idling but would always restart.

Im thinking bad fuel???? I'm definately draining the fuel tomorrow. Should I be fine with fresh fuel you think?

Oh yeah, didn't think of that. What is the shelf life of premix fuel anyway?

I agree with fouled plugs. I would still get some fresh gas in her though.

Under the right conditions (warm, humid, unsealed) E5 or E10 (which is probably what comes out of your pump) can absorb enough water to separate in 90 days, leaving a corrosive alcohol/water mixture in the bottom of your tank. However, under most realistic conditions, E10 should be okay for six months. I personally recommend always using a fuel preservative when adding gas to a PWC.
