    Replacement Steering assem/bar setup

After a replacement steering system which will allow me to fit taper bar/moto x bars.

Anyone have suggestions on kits and where to find them? (Kawasaki 300 ultra)

What are you looking to achieve from the bars; height or width?

Have seen several TBM systems break on the welds in offshore use, do not recommend that system, there are some French manufactured systems available, similar or the same as team Pasterello use in France if Pasto uses them you bet they are super strong.

Try www.pastorellocompetition.com press translate and you can view the racing parts including the steering column available etc.

the welds breaking is only a LOWER part issue

if you just use the uppers they cant break as their is NO welds , and it makes it a cheaper way of doing it
Best site to find the TBM assemblies?
    And what are they worth?

Russ Tbm units or Riva ones? None of us over here have ever broke one we all run the full set up but there all TBM branded units. There was a bad batch that went out witch I think most have been replaced at this point. That where having that issue.

Still risky because with wide bars and much more leverage and rough water ocean riding you will break the lower OE system if you ride hard that is and the fact that the TBM breaks in any case upper or lower does not fill me with any confidence in the product and can be dangerous as well, the lower is not fit for purpose in rough water and hard riding i have seen this happen in rough sea racing conditions. With the Oe plastic bushes even if you adjust them you will always have an unacceptable amount of free play, but i do agree it all comes down to money in the end. Hot Products do the handlebar / steering column adapter kit that allows mx style alloy braced bars to be fitted to the original adjustable Kawasaki column and with some careful shimming on the main pivot and also pre-loading the steering pivot shaft you can get a compromise in terms of free play and cost factor.
