    hood damper.

Has anyone ever replaced the damper that holds the front hood up?
How do you get the washer type locks off?
    Can they be reused?

Not as much fun as i thought it would be.
A tip if anyone has to do this!
Glue the stainless tags with the welded nut on them to the plastic.
Not easy getting back together, not knowing if 1 or 2 have fallen off.
You think your done then the last bolt wont do up because the stainless tags has fallen off. Start again.

The gas strut on the OEM store is $147.00 US plus postage.
Once I got the strut out I called a mobile strut guy.
I never told him what the strut was off, in fear he might charge extra.
He figured it out just based on measurements.
Gave me a strut that was alot better quality than the OEM one.
Unfornunatly there is no stainless steel strut anywhere in the world to fit the ski.
    But this one is great.

Cost hand delivered, He removed the clamp washes and fitted the strut, Took 1/2 hr as the clamp washers were realy stuck.
    Totall bill $54.00 including tax.

Wow why buy OEM when you get and expert doing it for over 30 years helping you out for a quarter of the cost of the OEM.
