I hit 70 today bone stock.

You have to love the cold water and air. The air was 40 degrees and the water was 44. It ran 8100 the whole time I was out.
It is not to often that you get an ice cream headache from driving your RXP.

these cooler temps are awsome for our skis. THe only problem is that I have to ride different......don't want to get soaked with this cold water.

I have a mustang suit so I am very warm. The only part that gets cold is my face. It also keeps you warm even when you get splashed.
I have not fallen off with it yet so I can't say how it is in the water.

The suit is like a snowmobile suit. It has zippered vents for when it warms up. The jacket also is a coast guard approved life vest.
The water gets cold enough here to freeze 3 feet thick in the dead of winter.

    Hi Guys,

I have been reading this forum for a while, but have only just joined.

I have just finished running in my RXP, had the 10 hour oil change and decided to go see what it could do.

    It ran exacltly 70mph on about 3 - 4 runs, (112kph)

    RPM was only 7600,

water temp was 78, air about 82

Is this normal? good? bad? i see some guys here are talking about revving to 8100rpm standard and still hitting 70mph.. why would i be hitting 70 at 7600?

The only other thing i can think of, i live in Australia, and here our premium unleaded petrol is 98 octane.

    Any other suggestions/ thoughts?

    Thanks guys.
