Has SeaDoo build quality changed since 2008?

My GF is in the market for a new ski soon and is looking to me to find her the right model. I owned SeaDoo's from 2003-2010 and enjoyed their skis. My last new purchase as a 2008 RXP-X. Great ski.

That said, has anything changed in build quality since 2008 on these skis? Mostly in terms of functional reliability I mean. Are the powerplants as reliable as they were in 2008? More/less? Thanks.

It seems like as soon as seadoo's peak reliability is reached..... They go ahead and change eveything the fallowing year and screw it all up. With that being said, I'd say probably the best and most reliable newer seadoo in my opinion is going to be an 08 or 09 GTX. No tunnel cracking problems, no supercharger problems and a very nice looking blue color. That's my 2 cents

If you get time Call Matt Anderson at Gene's Power Sports in Baytown Texas, 281-385-5888 He was a Pro Racer for the Polaris team back in the day and he is the head mechanic for the shop, Ask him which skis need the most work done?
R5 had there last race there, and he was saying that out of all the skis that he had come thru the shop for repair/warranty that Sea doo had 4 times more skis come thu the shop for work,

I've noticed SD fans also take every little thing back whereas other brands are more willing to accept inconsequential items.

Sounds about right. There are more Seadoos on the water than the others.

I wonder if that's in line with the amount of market share each has? I'm betting the Yamaha sells closer to SeaDoo than Kawasaki though.
