Hey Outlaws, thanks to Mike and Jerry - Welcome to YOUR new forum home!

    Hey guys,

If you're reading this you're at the right place.
I look forward to seeing most all of you over here soon, and the race info for race #7 will be out quicker than you can say "Zernik's a new DADDY!!!" (He's not at the moment, but the day is coming soon!)

Very special thanks to Jerry and Mike at greenhulk.net for hooking us up with our own link under the local ride threads.
Can't tell them enough how much that means to us, but I promised them you guys would keep them entertained!!!

Race info coming at you soon~

    jim

    Tshankster -
I gotta say, once the permit process got rolling, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the people I've met at the Park's Department. I was down there last saturday to meet with the administration and they are as enthused as we are to bring racing back to the lower lake... Safety for both the racers and the spectators is of primary concern to them, as it is to us, and they are currently reviewing some final course layouts I submitted to determine what level of staffing will be required on their end. Based on initial impressions, I'm pretty confident this race will be a go - and as soon as I get the final word, Ross will be delivering the news to you.

We were originally talking a DJSA race on Saturday, and a RPM-IJSBA race on Sunday, with points being tracked from both days for an overall regional score, but I'm pretty sure we are going to be leaning towards a one day race on Saturday Nov 17th, with a primary purpose of determining who the Regional Champs are in California. There have been 3 previous "shootout races" up north, but this would be the first one held in the south's backyard. My hope is that because of the venue location, and because of an increase in so many racers hitting the water this year in both regions, that you ALL will have a sincere interest in representing your home turf for a year's worth of bragging rights and a huge a$$ regional trophy...

Soon as I get the word I'll be on the phone to Ross and we'll get this thing rolling!!!

    jim
