    Ultra-300x Jet Pump Inspection/Maintenance

So I see in the Kawasaki Owner's Manual - Periodic Maintenance Chart - that it is recommended that the Jet Pump bearings, seals should be inspected/lubricated/replaced if necessary at intervals:
    -------------------
At 25 Hours or 1 year - whichever comes first
Then at each 50 hour interval or 1 year - again whichever comes first.
    -------------------
Anyone care to elaborate on this for me please? I think this is a little "excessive" - in terms of the defined interval, as my 2-Stroke Ski, I believe the pump service interval was at the 100 hour mark...

Is this "entirely" necessary - and if the pump is removed, I think it be best just to slide new bearings and seals in it anyways.

Is it anymore difficult than the Kawasaki Pump used on an Ultra-150 - as that was pretty straight forward.

Also, I think I remember Waz telling another BB Member whom reported a noise or vibration - that such was due to "lack of grease" on the impeller shaft?

JOC - when you remove the pump what kinda grease is recommended, how much and exactly where?

Hence, at 25 hours - maybe it would be a good time to service the pump and slide this puppy in as well?

Lastly, the "thinner" part installs up towards the top - correct?

As always - Many Thanks Guys !!!!

Really the only thing to inspect is if there's water in there and that the prop is tight. If you remove the bearings replace them. I'd replace them every 100hrs mine still looked very good after 98hrs.
