    Coils are wired in series.

3M Eraser wheel will make decal removal easier.

i put a meter to each coil the black to black with tracer wires read ok but when i put it to thewires with caps it read open circuit what could be the cause of that? could the resistor caps cause that?

They both have the same part number:

    5131035 IMPELLER,94 SLT Substituted by 5131079
So the prop will interchange, and other than the '95 pump having an "inlet screen" I don't see any differences in the pump that will effect the driveshaft. So it should be a direct swap.

They are interchangeable. Check your spline condition, wearing surface at the thru hull bearing condition, and check which part number the impeller is. The stock impeller ends in 035. Part 079 is slightly higher pitched and was used on the SL750 two seater..... May want to get an 035 if you will be doing a lot of 2-3 up riding and tube pulling.....
