    P1520 code and oil leak

I went out for one last ride (2007 rxp215) and was going full throttle when I heard the beep and saw the code pop up and engine went into limp mode. So I shut it off and looked at the dipstick and it wasn't even at the tip. At that time I could not see any oil in the hull. Had a buddy go get me oil and I topped it off and went for a ride. Upon getting back to the dock it started beeping again so it took it out of the water. I opened drain plugs and it was a mix of water and oil and oil level was low again. I could not see where it's coming from. What is a common area to look at?

I stuck my hand under the oil cooler and its soaked with oil. without looking into it more sounds like thats my problem. The hoses feel dry so I'm guessing the oil cooler has a hole in it? Is that a big job to replace? I guess the intake manifold has to come off?

I looked into it again and i cleaned up the oil cooler with a rag and ran the ski on the hose and found that it remained dry. But did stick my hand under the front part of the motor where the oil fill tube is and it was soaked with oil. Is there a plug somewhere under there that may have fallen out? I can feel a round opening with my finger but cant get an inspection mirror far enough in to see.

Well its that time of the year again to find this oil leak. I'm gonna dig into it tomorrow and see what I can find. It's a bad leak to have spit out that much oil so I'm hoping its obvious. But still won't start the motor cause temps still get below freezing at night.

Found the oil leak. The oil seperator cover has a hairline crack in it and its unbelievable how much oil comes out of it when running higher rpm's even at idle its bleeding out bad. What material is the cover made out of?
