Anyone running an ET Low Boost wheel with a 160 prop setup?

I am drooling at the new Riva pump setup but am not sure how the ET Low boost will do with a 160 pump setup. Anyone actually run a 160 liner and prop with this wheel? If so what kind of boost and rpms are you seeing? Trying to find out if I would need to go with a 15.5 wheel to really make this pump combo work well. I am currently running 81.6 @ 8600 rpm and seeing 14.6 psi of boost. I do NOT want to loose top speed.

i know for sure you won't loose speed because if tuned properly the 160mm prop can be just as efficient in the top speed department as the 155. Also Dean's team claim a 1 mph gain so if you upgrade I would expect some speed gain when tuned properly.

One thing to remember that every degree on the prop on the 160 = abour 300rpm. Thats what I found on my fz with a 160 liner and prop with et 16

Check out the speeds mods database. There are a few guys up top running 160mm pumps. What prop are you running now?

Running a 13/19 and 85.5mm nozzle the best i got was 8200 rpms, 13psi. The 160mm takes some grunt to spin, its just a matter of getting the impeller pitched correctly. However, my impeller started out as a 13/25 155mm. Im not sure how much pitch you can take from and impeller and i believe eventually the rpm gains became pretty small. If there is a true cast at 13/20 impller to work with i think it would be a better starting point. I think the starting 160mmm prop is 13/23. Coild be wrong though.

So in short, maybe. Sounds like you got your ski dialed in so if you have the patience to get the right impeller it will be worth your time.. the hook up you gain IMO was worth the speed loss (78MPH is best i got).

i tried the riva 160mm with my ET lb wheel and R3 setup, it took a 20 degree trailing edge and a 87mm nozzle to achive the same rpm's as my 15/23 155mm and 84mm nozzle combo. it was lazy all the way around with the 160 but the leading edge on the 160mm was at 15, TOO tall, so if i was gonna try it again id start at a 13/19 160mm and a 86mm nozzle.

    but its deffinetly doable.
