I get that error every once in a while. On my iS ski, I have a block connector from the gauge/handlebar area down to the engine compartment that kind flops around. Once in a while I have to go in there and squeeze them back together. It only takes a mm of movement to cause problems and throw that code. Thankfully, that's something I can do beached.

Re-seat the wires from the back with it unplugged and clean out and excess dielectric grease. There was a service bulletin for this condition.
