    Pressure Testing Aftermarket IC

What is the prefered method for pressure testing an aftermarket intercooler? I found a site that said that they test their water to air IC's at 150 PSI for 30 minutes. I figured the pump puts out 100 PSI or so. So my reasoning was that 150 PSI should be fine to pressure test to, since you should have a higher burst pressure than what it will be running at. I plugged off the hole in the end of the water side of the cooler, put a 145 PSI gauge in the 1/2NPT hole, and an 1/8th NPT valve stem in the small hole of the water side. I filled the air side up with water, and proceeded to fill the water side with air. Is this wrong? I have to IC's here and both of them leak air into the water. I dont want to put these on my ski, if I am going to just put salt water into my engine.

That's how I tested the first one, but I just used shop air to do it. Reading duke's intercooler thread they were seeing 60-100 psi from the pump. This second one leaked at 25-30 psi. My whole reason for going to an aftermarket IC was to get the chance of saltwater in my intake out of the equation. So I guess I'm back to square one.
