    Explain Total Loss

Will some one please explain benifits of a total loss system ?
will it make any difference if the magnets are removed from the flywheel other than saving a few ounces for higher RPM if any?

Most people do more than remove the magnets. Most people have the flywheel machined, or buy an aluminum flywheel and this removes a lot more than a few ounces. The advantages are quicker revs on carbed boats. Some say that it has little or no effect on an EFI ski.

    Almost forgot:
Total loss = No charging system
