Changed Impeller now the ski is taking on water

Just put a new Solas impeller and new OEM wear ring on my 06 RXP and now the carbon ring looks like it is leaking. Replacing the impeller and wear ring seemed very straight forward but it looks like the carbon ring does not meet up flush with the shaft support ring after I ride the ski. Everything looks like it lines up and is fllush until I put the ski in the water and run it hard, then it takes on water.

Has anyone else ran into this?

I recently installed an xcharger and 42 lb injectors; don't think that is a factor in this situation but thought I would put down the whole story.

    Thoughts anyone?

    Thanks

    Jim

Will the nose cone riding up the shaft cause problems at the carbon ring?

did you install it with the Green Nose cone? If so thats pushing your shaft forward and the waters comming in the carbon seal.

I did put the green nose cone on the new impeller. What is the fix for this; just not installing the nose cone?

The nose cone on those are known to slide off, and You don't need to run with it.. alot of us don't.
