    Anyone cut out the buzzer?

I could nt take the F### annoying buzzer so I took apart the steering cowl cut one of the wires.

Toying with the idea of puting a switch for long rides ect. Just in case some warning comes up.

All my friends want to know what happened to the bird in the glove box. "Chirp,Chirp,Chirp" I tell them I cut its neck.

the only time you should hear the buzzer is when you connect your dess, key or leave it on when the engine is not running.it could get anoying at times but its a good safety to leave it on.

I took a piece of duct tape, and covered half of the buzzer. That bird chirps much quieter now.

The "chirper" is not necessary for the function of the D.E.S.S, it is just there to tell you if you have the right key or if it is connected properly. I took it off my XP-L when I put aftermarket bars on and the fact that it is not there doesn't effect me.

I used a 1" square of weather strip. It worked better than tape. My tape fell off after a few hrs.

Black silicone and filled the holes where the speaker is. So much better now. I can still hear it but its more of a soft tone now.

Was for me when I overheated my '06 GTI. You still have the light though.
