    Couple of questions please help...

I am interested in doing that cooling system mod with the fittings into the head & three pissers...

Question is what size fittings do I need & do you restrict any cylinder?

Does the original water outlet get blocked off & all the water exit the pissers?

How hot is the water, if it hosed down a swimmer, will it burn them?

Also, I have Virage TX & there is a red valve in a hose coming out of the exhaust manifold, I am guessing its a flow control valve, but I looked inside it & there is nothing in there, the water just flows straight through?

Does it need a flow control valve like jet works in there?

    Thanks in advance
    Steve

Question is what size fittings do I need & do you restrict any cylinder? I don't remember but I think it's 3/8 return line so you'd have to but the correct tap for the end entering the head. Somebody here will remember the correct size. As far as the restictors, I have the restrictors in each line and regulate the temp to within a few degrees between all cylinders.

Does the original water outlet get blocked off & all the water exit the pissers? If you do the MAG cover mod (not sure if yours already has one) but you could exit that water out the original exit from the head cover (water bar).

How hot is the water, if it hosed down a swimmer, will it burn them? It feels look warm by the time it exits. It's actually a great way to feel how the temp in each cylinder is. I would imagine if you had a cylinder that was running WAYYYY hot it might be suprisingly hot?? It feels great on those winter rides.

Also, I have Virage TX & there is a red valve in a hose coming out of the exhaust manifold, I am guessing its a flow control valve, but I looked inside it & there is nothing in there, the water just flows straight through? It could be somebody removed it for winter storage as the balls inside have been known to stick during the winter and then not open on your first outing.

Does it need a flow control valve like jet works in there?

    Thanks in advance

Thanks Crazy A, do I need restrictors? Can I just use a tap?

"Allows fine adjustments to the water flow through the engine for higher performance. 3/8" model comes with all stainless steel hose clamps and three restrictors - Sizes 2, 3 & 4"
    Atlantic Power Sports

I just run a thermometer under the flowing water until I get the temperatures even.
