    Unhappy Alu in oil filter

I just performed winterization on my Seadoo RXP 2004 with 127 hours. The Supercharger was rebuild at 80 hours.
The ski is running just perfect, but I found tiny alumium parts in the oil filter See enclosed.
I guess it comes from the SC. Any other ideas?

could be a number of things.

i cant suggest a place to start to look or inspect, but i suggest you put a new filter in and regularly pull it to check it, and see if you get more.

that is only a very small amount its my guess you do a lot of stop starting which will leave small deposits from the startermotor bendix which runs in the oil system, hope this helps

    Alu in oil filter

    Bendix is steel
Looks like oil pump shavings, nearly every first 10hr service I see that.

Some engines also have a Magnetic plug for inspection. If it where me i will check filter to see if more comes.

I had some metal in my 06 RXT the first few oil changes. So far the last few have been clean. Keeping fingers crossed.
