Best Used Watercraft for family use?

I am sure this information is all here already, however I would like some very current opinions. I am looking for something stable, dry, large and most importantly reliable. Being a PWC trailer distributor I run across many "deals" I like Honda stuff but I am afraid they are not well supported. I am looking to introduce a young child and a skittish wife to the PWC experience. Any thoughts on specific models would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to go new until I am sure they enjoy the experience. Thanks in advance!

No real limit..I just know I do not want to buy brand new..yet.

The size of the boat will be key as well as how dry the ride is. I want it to be super reliable. I maintain everything to the enth degree but want to start with a known reliable machine. Thanks!

Agreed on the FX, both old & new models, but the VX hull is a very wet ride in choppy conditions.

The Kawasaki Ultra LX is a great all around ski. It is a 1500 N/A motor. Is very reliable. Typically oil changes and inspect pump bearings now & then and hours of carefree reliable operation. 120 mile range if cruising 30-40 mph. Very stable. Does better than the rest in the rough stuff. It has excellent storage capacity. Runs on 87. Comfy seats. Top speed about 57 mph so not the fastest. Excellent for towing tubes or wakeboard. A great all-around ski and the one I wish I would have bought when I got my STX12F.
It is basically an Ultra300X/LX without the SC. Or 250/260 if before 2012. Model years are from 2007 to current. Can be found in good shape for around 5-6K.

This is a 2012 model I rode to Catalina last spring...
