    Drive shaft Bearing Assembly

Just removed my pump and drive shaft on my 94 650 SL, cleaned and inspected. Is the bearing assembly able to be rebuilt. Seems as there is bushings behind the seals not bearings?? If not able to rebuild is there a good aftermarket assembly?

There is supposed to be a rebuildable one, and a non-rebuildable one. I however have rebuilt both, as well as a few others.

Part #12 for the rebuild. http://weberpower.com/avon-2007-2009...ing-parts.html

    A new OEM

And Watcon has one with bearings instead of the bushing.

The Watcon designed bearing assembly I am sure is well made. Be aware that the Watcon unit has (as far as I know) steel roller bearings inside while the Polaris OEM version uses Teflon impregnated brass bushings.

The non-rusting brass OEM bushings may be the more reliable choice if there is any possibility of irregular greasing/maintenance of the steel bearing unit.
