    Air intake ducts

I just noticed while winterizing my ski that both air intake ducts have multiple cracks, maybe not so much of a problem if you still have the stock air box, but I have the riva filter and that air duct travels down right next to it! Its a 2008 ridden once in 2008, has anyone else had this problem, if not maybe you need to check yours, What would cause this? engine heat? fumes from catch can filter? Seems alittle premature

Actually he is thinking more in the lines of the spray you might have used in the past not being safe for that type of plastic. My 2004 did have some cracking after a few years but don't know exactly how many years. I feel as long as you keep something on there it would be fine. Do you use the pre-filter cover for the water?

Yes I have the pre filter but I dont trust it, all the coating seems to have been sucked off after a few hours of use, when i wash the ski and take the seat off you can see droplets of water go right thru the prefilter
