FS/GI - 96 xp - 951
For sale / gaining interest on my 951 96xp. I built it 4 years ago and have rode it since with about than 15-20 hours per season. My goal for this project was to make a faster, reliable x-4 using mostly stock 951 components. Over the past 4 years I have had minimal problems with this setup. It will do 62mph (GPS) on cold flat water.
Hot Rod crank
Removed exhaust silencer
stock water box
155 plastic pump
Used steel plate and fiberglass to relocate front motor mount
Modified hull to fit exhaust pipe
Cut new hole for exhaust on opposite side. Piped off existing exhaust hole.
Moved battery to front right side of ski to make room for water box.
I haven't had a chance to ride as much this year and I have two new projects to focus on, so I wanted to see if there was any interest in anyone buying this. I don't really want to let this go, but it might be time. Prices seem to vary a lot so I will be open to offers, not even sure where to start. Feel free to send me a PM or email with questions. I can provide more details and pictures if needed.

I just wanted to report that the deal is done Dean was awesome! Great communication and a real pleasure to work with. I'll meet the ski Christmas evening and am looking forward to it.
The crazy part is that Dean is from where I was born. I just found out that this awesome ski is from the lake I came from

I couldn't be happier with the new home it got. Glade we could make it work out Matt. Thanks for making it easy and enjoyable. Learn to ride it before you race! It's a whole different machine. I hope you enjoy it and maybe next time I'm down here we can meet up. I'm already missing her.

No worries. It was reading deans, joes and ziggys build threads that made me want to build one of my own. And I love it. So much so that I am redoing the entire build from scrach right now with a spare hull I have. I want to do a few thing differently and experiment with a few ideas so why not. Lol. And now that deans boat has found its way to FL, I curious how my build stacks up to one of the machines that made me have to have one.

Sorry to post on this thread but i've been toying with the idea of building a 951. Ive seen and read about a few builds, namely yours Deanrw3, airbornexp and joe stang conversions and understand it quite expensive, time consuming and quite a bit of work involved in it.
What i wanted to ask is how much is it worth it? Did you guys ever race against a fully modded 800 and is it that much faster? What did you guys upgrade too?
thx for the help
