    2006 rxp water leak

My ski is leaking water into the hull, i found that inside the tunell above the intake grate where the shaft comes out of the hull from is a plastic moulded to the fiberglass part, this bit of plastic has moved and is causing water to go into the hull,
does anyone know what this part is called or how to fix???

There is a rubber boot that holds a sealing ring against a stainless steel ring on the drive shaft
The "carbon ring" is the seal and the "hat" is the drive shaft ring
and the "bellow" is the rubber boot from the hull that holds the sealing ring tight against the hat
These are all wear parts and IMO you should change them all at once not worth just changing 1 or 2 parts of the system

but looking at the part in the tunnel it appears to be part of the hull?

I think u are speaking of the thru hull plastic piece that is molded to the hull.
It is the part the boot clamps on too.

You can buy a new insert and epoxy it in. There is also a billet aluminum version available, cant remember who sells them...maybe Parker yamaha site.

Maybe your insert is OK and just needs to be epoxy back in.
The insert needs to be perfectly lined up so that the carbon seal fits flush on collar on drive shaft.
Best way to assure that is with drive shaft alignment tool.
With the drives shaft alignment tool you want the insert to be same dia all the way around from shaft to thru hull fitting.

This is the part its leaking from, is this possibly the cause of my hull filling with water?

Try filling the hull with water with the ski tilted nose up, don't fill above the supercharger intake and check the tunnel/ shoe area for leaks.
