    winterizing 12' px question

I've noticed a few threads going back and forth about it but what's easier actually pulling the intercooler or what's the easiest way to assure anti freeze gets all the way through the system...any tips? And when it comes to oiling the motor for storage can you just spray fogging oil in each cylinder or what's the best trick for that...

    Re: winterizing 12'px question

I use a small sump pump and pump antifreeze through the flush line while running. I pull the IC during the winter and clean it out. Three cylinders get fogged. Recoat coils with DOW 111. Stabil in the fuel before my last run.

so i gravity fed the flush port on the back of the hull. and started to come out the ride plate. is there anyway to be certain that the ic and whole exhaust got its fair share?

I winterized my PX this year by gravity feeding the exhaust flush port. Later I had to take my supercharger out for rebuilding and decided to take the intercooler out to make sure antifreeze had made its way into it. It did, so I think you should be good to go.

I did however buy a 25 dollar pump on amazon because I plan to ride possibly again before winter sets in. This way I don't have to gravity feed I can just pump and be good to go.

And like stuckmoto says, make sure you fog the cylinders. I also took the fuel rail off to spray down where the fuel injectors inject.

Maybe someone else can chime in but I'm pretty sure the cooling systems on the 11 and 12 PX are almost the same or identical.

I also poured antifreeze until it came out, so you should be fine.
