    RXT-X 2010 vs RXT-X 2011

I will buy a used sea doo RXT-X 2010 or 2011, The difference is +/- $1,500 between 10 & 11 with similar conditions, but my friend said 2010 has a lot of problem with the fuse box because is the back of the ski and 2011 is in the front without issues, and is more faster it is true? why is more faster 2011 in stock?

Never had a problem on my 2010 with the fuse box in the back, although i would have liked it better up front. Never heard anything about a speed difference.

Go with the 2011, they fixed/changed lot of issued.
    - Move the airbox to the front
    - went back to the c-clip shaft style
    - pump housing is no more mounted to the rideplate

and probably some other stuff I can't remember.

I've never had a problem with the fuze box on my 2010. Stock 2010-2011 T-X's are identical in performance and speed, someone is full of shit!. The 2010 has a 87mm venturi nozzle and the 2011 has 83mm. The 2011 drive shaft is the "C-CLIP" style and IS far better than the 2009-2010 drive shaft configuration. The pump does mount to the ride plate on some 2011's. The air intake is different on both years and is restrictive on BOTH and needs to be changed out with 4" air setup regardless.

I'd go with the 2011 only for the drive shaft setup, the rest is all noise.

BTW, my 2010 T-X is running 81.5 and soon to be over 82 mph!

FWIW...the drive shaft upgrade runs about $600 if you do it out of warranty. Special tools for the alignment on the pumps that are mounted to the ride plate. I would by the 2011 for those reasons.
I personally never had a fuse box issue. I thought the IC's were the same?

My dealer had 3 2011 tx's that had defective timing chains. They were on the lot all summer waiting for the chains because they were on back order.

the stupid plastic door keeps leaking salt water onto the fuses and corroding them..............Stupid design

Warranty still wont replace the door tho , go figure

I agree that is a stupid design, but i think the corrosion comes from not getting all of the salt water out of the hull after riding and the in-hull humidity causing the issues. The fuses are protected from the top. The excess water is difficult to get out of these hulls as it pools at the front motor mount.
