Help me Spec my RXP-X modifications - Bloody Confused!!

As per my other thread i emailed Riva and R&D and i have been carrying out loads of research on the best mods for my 2012 RXP-X 260.

Riva and R&D have not responded and jhill19 advised me to post my questions on here and get an unbiased response which is a fair point so here goes.

I am looking for a Stage 3 set up without having to take the head off.

I am not tied to any one brand and happy to mix and match to get the best reliability and performance from the build.

Without sounding like a rich twat i am happy to spend the right money to make sure i have a reliable package budget is open to help achieve this.

From the research i have carried out for a good Stage 3 set up i am looking at the following:

1 - Metal Washers for SC clutch
2 - Intake Grate looking at Riva or R&D Aquavein
3 - Remove OPAS system - Riva Pro series Block off or Race Engineering
    4 - Air Intake - Riva Rear 4"
5 - Pump Wedge and VTS Extension Rod
6 - External Intercooler - Struggling for info on this
    7 - Through Hull Exhaust/Shorty Water Box
    8 - 50 Injectors
    9 - Stage 3 SC Pro Series
    10 - ECU
11 - Valve Train Upgrade (Without removing head if possible)
    12 - 158 thermo
    13 - 15/19 3 blade
    14 - Adjustable Venturi Nozzle
    15 - RE Blockoffs
    16 - Handling improvements e.g. Sponsons

What i am struggling with is the optimal set up utilising a combination of parts.

It doesn't help when Riva for example don't have their kit for the 2012 RXP-X listed.

What current members of the board are running stage 3 on a 2012 RXP-X and would be willing to give me their feedback on their packages and challenges they faced putting it together?

I know these things are never smooth and a few snags are common, i hope someone would be willing to chip in with some guidance on the best route to take covering all of the above areas if they were undertaking the build.

I have used the search function extensively and thanks to Green Hulks post from 2007 i got most of the above. What major changes have there been of late that i should be aware of?

As a final note i have probably missed something obvious in my list feel free to correct me, my experience is in tweaking cars not Jet Ski's!!!

    Regards

    ScottyB

Don't want to be rude but seems like you have done zero research. There is plenty around so keep reading and have a look at what's available for the 12px in the GH store.

1 - Metal Washers for SC clutch
    You already have the best.

2 - Intake Grate looking at Riva or R&D Aquavein.
Riva has no grate out yet?

3 - Remove OPAS system - Riva Pro series Block off or Race Engineering
12px has no OPAS. It uses the OTAS system.

    4 - Air Intake - Riva Rear 4"
    Not available for 12px.

5 - Pump Wedge and VTS Extension Rod

6 - External Intercooler - Struggling for info on this
You already have one. If you want to upgrade look at the Riva g3 or fizzle.

    7 - Through Hull Exhaust/Shorty Water Box
Riva has a a rear exit pipe. No box from Riva but you can use a TDR box.

    8 - 50 Injectors

    9 - Stage 3 SC Pro Series
Do you ride ocean or flat water?

    10 - ECU
Sure, what you want to spend? $600 or $6000???

11 - Valve Train Upgrade (Without removing head if possible)
A must. No need to pull the head. Just do springs and retainers.

    12 - 158 thermo.
    Sure
    13 - 15/19 3 blade
Depends on your final setup. You may consider a 15/20 and up the rpm with a tune or standalone.

    14 - Adjustable Venturi Nozzle
Probably not needed. Depends what your doing. I'd prop tweak.

    15 - RE Blockoffs
No OPAS on 12px, so not needed.

    16 - Handling improvements e.g. Sponsons
There are plenty of sponsons and trim tabs out. The 12px handle very very well without them so consider where you invest your coin.

    Hi Scottie,
I would recommend a Motec m130 ECU, an amazing piece of kit. Without that in my opinion you are wasting your time on a stage 3. A great start would be 4 inch air intake, gen 3 intercooler with pipe kit; rear exhaust, upgrade springs and retainers, rude 3 charger, solas impeller and the Motec. With the above mods you will be over 80 mph, I know as this is what I had and I was over 80.

no sense getting 50# injectors when stock are 48, just like martin i learned this summer that you have to pay to play, if your gonna go big you are gonna have to spend big to get the most out of the ski. go riva gen 3 for the ic, the riva xxx charger is a good one to go with if you dont want to worry about maintenance, otherwise 3rude or the big dog et race. if you are planing on breaking past 80mph look into pump tunnel relief, some others are saying overstuff is hapening near 82ish,

Most fuel injectors will not operate correctly below 2.5 bar and a motec cannot fix that
3.5 bar (52psi) base fuel psi and any boost above 15psi (1bar) the injectors may not work correctly
80lb or 95lb injectors IMO will need an rrfpr with a rude3
