The 750s are 80 HP. About 46 MPH top speed on that ski, but they are fun and stable hulls. I think it will be a lot more stable than an XP, so if you plan on having more than 1 rider the Polaris is a better choice. Why the concern about just HP numbers? There is a lot more to it than comparing 2 machines by horsepower. Hull design, and pump efficiency are big factors as well.

The SLT750's are a blast just be ready to rebuild the fuel system and read up on tuning so you don't do a lean burn down and burn a hole in a piston. On the blue fuji engines it's pretty easy to do and even though it seems to run right can melt a piston quickly.

On the XP, a 96 XP would be a 787 engine with RAVE valves. Should do mid 50's on the GPS. A 95 XP is most likely a 717 engine but could be one of the limited edition 'XP 800's'. If it truly is a 650, it would have to be a 93-94 model. I know the 787 engine is 110hp, not sure about the others.

Hello, I had a 1994 Polaris 750 slt, it was a great ski. Very fast would do about 45 to 48 mph no mods. I think the HP was about 85HP. The only real problem was it has a design error ..... meaning the entire electronics box sits on top of the battery case. Mine finally arc one day and burn up the electronics .... had to sell a great hull & motor for next to nothing $350 to costly to repair. But if you get a good one & is priced right it will be worth it .... like I said they rip !

Just make sure you have the plastic cover on the battery and that problem with the box wont happen.

The SeeDoo's will suck some fuel. The polaris 750 is a pretty economical.
