Coolant leaking out of OVerflow tube

    Hey Guys,

A while ago i posted a problem with my RXTX 255 Stage 3 that i had coolant leaking out of my over flow pipe. One bloke told me i had a blown headgasket. I have since then changed the head gasket and it was OK, i have also rebuilt the motor.

When for a ride yesterday and noticed it still leaking out the overflow. Are there alternitives to the standard Radiator cap you can buy,/ try.

Any other ideas , and one had this problem.

    Allan

Check the coolant lines that come off the thermostate that go to the oil cooler..you may have them backwards..this will cause you to push antifreeze out the overflow also...

The hose from the coolant tank will go to the forward most fitting on the side of the thermostat.
The hose from the oil cooler will go on the rear fitting on the side of the thermostat.
If you have these backwards you will push coolant out of the overflow tank

    Hey Guys,

I have checked the pipes and they are all correct, any thoughts on the next problem. Do Thermostats just shit themselves and don't work . Could it be that or a header tank cap???

    Cheers
