Actually the "tree drop" test is used by all manufactures. They have been doing this since 1994.

Obviously another foot over and she was finished...what saved it from more damage and home severity was the brunt of the impact was a utility trailer and a few saw horses I had made...notice the force of the hit lifted her right up!....luckily the tree didn't hit flush and hit that raised passenger foot rest...

Glad to hear that your damage was relatively minor. So many are totally wiped out, it's sad.
