Stay warm and dry if you are have been affected by Sandy.

My mom STILL has no power on Manhattan beach. Luckily the water didn't come up high enough to trash here house.

Hopefully they have insurance, I wouldn't even want it back if that was mine unless I already wrote it off through insurance and just wanted it for parts. Also wouldn't it make more sense to call the local DMV/marine police or whoever handles boating matters in your state? It has a registration number for a reason no?

doubtful the New Mexico state police would even give a crap..assuming I was dumb enough to call them about it. Simpler to collect insurance when there is a 'body'

no doubt any removable parts will be gone shortly..a pwc just isn.t a priority when lots of folks are homeless

did I mention I was from brooklyn?

Obviously it would make more sense to call the authorities that are located in the state it's located/registered in. As far as getting paid, I'm sure the insurance company will end up paying up eventually, It's was a hurricane of course things are going to go missing. You think the insurance company is going to say "sorry, we can't write you a check because your house with all your belongings got washed away and nothing is here so you have no proof".

You didn't mention your from Brooklyn, but you did say your mom had no power in power in Manhattan Beach so I figured you must have lived here or visited the area frequently.
