Does it look like this? Because This is it. Says it painted for added protection..

Usually about 81.00 new. Good deal there on the ebay find.

You'll be better in rough water too.Just be aware now that you changed the intake configuration, your ability to stop big rocks getting into the pump is gone. so be wary of punching wot iclose to shore. But on the other side, you'll be able to stay hooked up better with more unobstructed water flow into the impellor!

You also will stick like glue on glass water.. Not quite as good a racing deep digging grate like a Jet Dynamics grate. That actually pulls ya under a little while idling and digs into corners hard. you will also scrub top speed by a couple mph with a JD grate. your new one there will keep the same speed, just planted better.

Freaking sweet, but sad at the same time... I remember drooling over the many personal watercraft magazines and dreamed of owning a trick 800 XP.... and all the other ski's... I loved drooling over the performance parts, it's a shame the watercraft industry went through that big down turn, but is picking up again... at the point where most of us can't afford a new FZR with 20K of mods...

THe Solas appears to be less aggressive. At least by looking at the two of them next to each other. I haven't tried them both out yet to confirm this though.

I am curious as well. Can't decide on an R&D or the Solas for my 95 SLT. I need a better grate for ocean riding but don't want to sacrifice what little top speed I have. Any recommendations? Also, anyone running one of the Ocean Pro ride plates? Thanks.
