what does it take for my 01 gp1200r too

im starting to mod my 01 gp1200r.. got a fresh rebuilt motor with prox pistons new oem crank n rods etc.. from island racing.. also he worked the carbs.. also have free flow exhaust and a riva intake grate.. going to get island racing pitched impeller and pump seal kit and worked ride plate. what else is there that i should do? i know i need reeds bc i have a chip in one so i was looking at the vf3 reeds. should i do heads also and a hole shot kit? my main goal is to keep up and maybe sometime beat rxps and just to have fun in long island bays n jump boat wakes n waves in inlet.. just a all around fun ski want that can keep up with newer skis

lmfao... your just starting to think whats optional..use the search.. beating rxps on my pond takes 80+ mph= money

    shortcut- gprxpx gprsho

if it were easy n cheap we would all have 100 mph skis

just want to do some of the bolt on mods without sacrificing relaibility of the ski and just have it maybe not beat but sorta keep up with i guess lol... was thinking reeds, impeller and holeshot kit and maybe heads if that doesnt sacrifice relaibility. want a more of a low to mid range but if i pick up some top end more that would be great too

Lol those rxpx are nice skis and fast. I would do a list as follows and kind of in order if you can
    Pump reinforcement with updated brackets/mounts
    Step sponsons- free
    Shim tabs- free
    Air mods- free
    D plate n chip
R&d plate with Jim's or islands racing mods
    R&d 1200r grate
    Riva ppk kit
    Tach
    Riva free flows
    Primer system
    Ported jugs
    Ported cases
Riva heads or a cut head
    Vf 3 reeds
    Spacer plate
    Riva free flow
    High output pump
    New prop
    Jet works
    Carbs jetted and modified
    Riva gas valves

This would make your ski faster than your fiends if compression is solid across the board

The port work and cut heads does decrease reliability
