Garden hose fitting left on Seadoo RXP while riding

    Hey Guys,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but after a quick search I couldn't find anything.

I have an 05 Seadoo RXP 215, had it for years - no dramas with it.
Yesterday i took it out for a run, but forgot to take off the garden hose fitting used for flushing the Ski. Didn't realise until I got back and went to hook up the hose to flush it.

Now, nothing out of the ordinary went on while riding it, it performed perfectly.
My question is, could I have done any damage as a result of leaving this on? Given that by having this fitting on, the hole/flow is massively reduced?

    Any comments/replies would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Steve.

If you look inside that flush mount on your ski you'll see it's actually a smaller diameter than you think. There's no restriction with the flush hose fitting left on.

    Thanks Guys,

Well I guess that's why I couldn't find any threads on it, just worrying myself over nothing

I just remember reading somewhere on the net, someone saying "make sure you take the hose fitting off". As if to say it would have a negative effect.
Glad to hear that this is not the case.

    Cheers.

+1 it also keeps more water going through the exhaust to eliminate heat

The plastic fitting around my garden hose fitting is loose. It twists when I put the hose fitting on. There is a tiny gap between the hull
and the plastic cowling that surrounds the hose fitting. I ride a 2012 GTX limited... Will water leak into the hull?

    Thanks in advance...
