    NA permormance

Hello. I have been wondering what are considered to be some of the highest performance 4 stroke NA skis. I would assume that with 1.8l, the VXR/VXS would be among them? And what else? - any brand.

I'm not aware of an N/A 4 stroke that performs with the VXR/VXS. Yamaha did a lot of things right with that model, imo.

The only other one that even comes close is the Kawasaki 15f,,,,,and having owned both skis, its not really that close......

Thanks for all the replies. I'm looking at what I think is a good deal on a 2009 Kaw 15F. Trying to decide if it's worth all the additional money for a new vxr.

Your looking at about 5-6 mph on top and a lot better acceleration with the VXr/s.......

It is. The only area that the 15F has over the VXR/S is MPG. A 15F will go farther on a tank of gas. But overall speed, accelaration, handling, and ride
the VXR/S is a much better Ski. I have well over a hundred hours on each of these Skis . . . JB

I dont know about that JB......seems like I used to avg around 5-6 mpg on my 15f, on the VXs I am averaging 6-7+ mpg.....last ride was 89.7 miles, had to force 11.9 gallons into my VXs

Your right, it's close. The 15F has a slightly bigger tank, and when full, you can "burp" about another gallon into it. What I have found on the VXR, and even the FX SHO is that once the tank is full . . . that is pretty much it. You can't burp much more fuel into it. JB
